Idris Brian Charles, Bristol

Idris Brian Charles, Beloved Avalonian Community Member and Lifelong Supporter of People in Need, Dies in Bristol Ahead of 79th Birthday

Idris Brian Charles has died in Bristol, leaving family, friends, and the wider Avalonian community in mourning.

A fundraiser shared by Geraldine Charles said Idris died a few weeks before turning 79 and remained devoted to helping homeless people until the end of life.

Many people remembered Idris, also known to some as Brian, for work alongside Erin during the early Priestess of Avalon training and for a warm presence within the community.

The fundraiser described Idris as a much-loved community member whose years of service supported vulnerable people, often through modestly paid work and volunteer efforts.

Geraldine Charles said the family had expected existing funds to cover a simple cremation and ceremony, but those arrangements became more difficult at the last minute.

Loved ones have now asked for support with funeral costs as they prepare to honor Idris with care and dignity.

Family members plan to announce obituary and funeral service details at a later time.
